Duchamps 1887

Hey guys! Christmas is coming up so fast. If you still need to get some gifts check out these dope hats from Duchamps 1887!

I love this brand because their hats are so modern compared to older versions of the snapback. It's refreshing to see a high fashion take on street style. They just dropped this "Ugly Sweater" snapback TODAY (pictured above) so get it while it's available for preorder! They have a ton of cool stuff on their site like embossed leather hats and other awesome prints to choose from.

Head over to their site to see more: Duchamps 1887

Get some gifts for your brothers, boyfriends, but seriously get one for yourself too so you don't feel left out ;)

Fashion Fades, Style Is Eternal

Everything from Saint Laurent via Farfetch

I was thrilled when Farfetch asked me to join in on their 'Style is Eternal' competition to show a timeless wish list using only Saint Laurent pieces. The brand (obviously) has revolutionized women's fashion and continues to create pieces that never go out of style. If there is one brand out there that knows timeless style, it's Saint Laurent.

Clothing that can withstand the test of time is beautiful, but it also makes the woman wearing it feel beautiful in return. I chose these items on my wish list because they exude the 'style is eternal' spirit. No matter what trends are current, these items have always been staples in my closet. Each piece in the set, in my opinion, is interchangeable meaning it can be worn with anything!

Weekend Wear

Erin Wasson for So It Goes Magazine

Feeling inspired by the one and only Erin Wasson today. This edit for So It Goes has been on my mind for a few days and is inspiring my weekend wardrobe! Wasson's style epitomizes the California-cool vibe that I love. My style is heavily influence by the juxtaposition between feminine and masculine pieces, and I think this editorial shows that contrast in a casual, but beautiful, way. Don't you agree?

But more importantly.... can Erin be my spirit animal?

Eyes On IRO

IRO Fall 2015

Crushing on these IRO Fall 2015 looks! I can, for the most part, recreate a lot of the looks with my wardrobe so this is such a good source of inspiration for me. I love the simple, structured pieces and the "didn't even have to try" feel. So beautiful! Can't wait til it hits stores :)

Let's Talk About Fur...

WSJ

Fashion month is finally coming to an end which means we all have to wait in agony until all the beautiful collections hit stores! While we wait we have time to cultivate our wish lists and save up for our favorite pieces...even though I don't think my piggy bank will ever have enough to purchase everything on my wish list!

One trend that made a statement on this season's runways was fur. Fur is back and more prominent than ever, not that it ever really left...but it was definitely present this year. And although I have to admit that fur does make beautiful pieces, I still believe that it's not only controversial, but simply unethical. I was surprised to see so many designers using fur this year since it is becoming more and more condemned in our society. Regardless of the trend, I hope that consumers realize their power to make a statement to the producers and refrain from purchasing real fur. There are plenty of gorgeous faux fur options for us out there! Getting educated and spreading awareness on the subject is the source of change, which is why I decided to talk about fur and voice my opinion.

Stella McCartney was one designer that stood by her morals and still created beautiful faux fur pieces. McCartney debuted a wonderful line that consisted of pieces she refers to as "fur free fur." I love the fact that she created her own version of the overpowering trend. She even managed to promote a call for action in the industry. Leading by example at it's finest!

I'm really inspired by Stella McCartney's company statement and commitment to sustainability. I believe the fashion industry has so much power and should harness that power to create a change in the world; and brands like Stella McCartney are starting that revolution. For more information, skim through the links provided to see what you can do! It's very informative...and you don't even have to watch those incredibly horrifying videos of animals being tortured.

Thank you, Stella, for helping change the world! Scroll down to shop my favorite faux fur pieces!

Inspired

Feeling inspired by these soft blue hues. All my Scandi friends are so happy for the weather to be warming up, and I'm over here in LA wishing it was rainy so I can bundle up. The grass is always greener...

Would you go for a blue coat? Which color do you like the best out of these two pictures?

Monday Inspo

Not sure where this image is from because I found it on Tumblr (so if you know please let me know), but it's giving me some serious inspiration this morning! I love the flared jeans with the statement boots. It's a minimal outfit that still makes a statement and looks put together. Taking notes!

Want Want Want!

Sunglasses: Ray Ban
Sweater: Bella Freud
Skirt: Adam Lippes
Brogues: Celine

Welcome back! More sh*t I can't afford! Regardless of the price, I love the color palette of this look and all the different textures. Suede is huge this season and this skirt is absolutely killin' it. I would probably opt for a mini instead of midi because mini's are my thing. But I'm hoping I stumble upon a cheaper version; I love this shade of pink! I would almost guarantee finding a cheap suede anything at a thrift store could be formed into a skirt somehow...so it's time to start hunting!

Right at the top of my never ending wish list is this Bella Freud sweater. I've been a huge fan of Bella Freud for awhile now. If you're not already familiar with the brand, please please please check them out! The statements on the sweaters are cute and dainty enough to make them go with literally everything.

Hope you find some inspiration with this!

Love this shearling coat paired with a leopard print blouse. I'm hoping one day I can find a coat similar to this at a thrift store and completely fall in love with it!

Who's watching the Oscars tonight? Any predictions?

Have a great week! xo

Inspo For The Week

img via Tumblr

Sienna Miller is looking flawless in this Celine knitted dress! The pattern and color combination on this dress is so fun. What a great dress for the transition into Spring. I could imagine myself wearing it out to brunch with friends. If I could, I would get my hands on that dress so fast. But I doubt it would look as good on me lol!

Sienna stars in the Oscar-nominated movie 'American Sniper.' If you haven't already, I would definitely find a way to see this film. What an inspiring story! Sienna and co-star Bradley Cooper are great together!

Anyways, thank you Sienna for the inspiration!

Sh*t I Can't Afford

Sweater: Equipment
Jeans: Frame Denim
Pumps: Valentino

ALTERNATIVES:
Sweater: Uniqlo
Jeans: H&M
Scarf: ASOS

Welcome to the new series which is properly titled 'Sh*t I Can't Afford'! I'll be posting some of my dream outfit combinations and hopefully on a somewhat consistent basis be able to provide more affordable alternatives for you all! Let's face it, the average shopper can't afford all of these items, but smart shoppers can easily recreate any look. But if you can afford these items, please by all means help yourself! Just don't let me get too close because I am not going to be responsible for my actions. Example: I might steal these Valentino pumps right off your feet. They've been on my wish list for years but I just can't seem to save up enough money for them.. #theperfectshoes

Anyways, a simple camel sweater, dark jeans, and your standard $5 red bandana would recreate this outfit flawlessly. You'll definitely catch me reppin' some neckerchiefs like this for the next few months.

And FYI click the links above to shop the items and alternatives!

AC for AG!!

Images via Studded Hearts

Hello hello! I've been MIA these past few weeks but I can explain! Right after New Year's I left for a family vacation to Maui and immediately following that I left for NYC with my best girl friends. It was a crazy couple of weeks but I had so much fun! I'm so happy I got to spend the first few weeks of 2015 doing what I love the most: traveling. And now I'm back just in time for one of the most anticipated collaborations of the year...Alexa Chung for AG Jeans!

The look book beautifully captures both the collection and Chung's personal style mixed with an LA vibe. I love the emphasis of simplicity with interesting silhouettes. My personal favorites from the collection are the denim skirt and each of the dresses. The collab hits AG stores and online tomorrow Jan. 20! Be prepared...these pieces are going to sell out fast! Good luck!

What are your favorite pieces from this collab? Let me know in the comments!
