Bring it Back

Overalls: ASOS, Blouse: Zara, Heels: Zara

The best thing I've bought in months: overalls. I wore these all the time when
I was little (like everyone else). It's so funny how fashion comes back around!

Feminine Fall Fashion Flair

Just when you feel that you are getting the hang of the summer styles, it’s time for fall. Fall fashions are coming in with a vengeance, and if you want to get a jump on the most exciting red carpet looks, now’s the time to get started! Frankly, I am looking forward to this fall.  The easy-breezy look of the summer can still translate itself into the colder weather too.

Keep an Eye on Your Assets

Whereas the maxi dress and the maxi skirt are universally flattering, the length of the midi skirt is essential to accentuate your features. Consider your height carefully when choosing a midi. If you are shorter in stature, choose a midi skirt that ends at or just above the knee to give your legs length. Ideally, the hemline should hit mid-shin on someone of average height, drawing attention to the point where your leg begins to thin. Although length is the key for this look, don’t give up on the perfect midi if it is too long! A quick and inexpensive trip to a local tailor can make this piece the newest star in your closet!

The Midi Offers Possibilities

Midi skirts are a blank canvas for bold color and prints. The combined effect of the modest length and a soft, feminine slit in the front encourages some playfulness with color, texture, and patterns. Pair a midi skirt in a daring pattern of deep blues and purples with a neutral top, strappy heels, and some chunky jewelry for a dinner out. Make a lasting impression at a job interview with a muted autumnal brown midi topped with a shirt and blazer and finished with tasteful pearls or a simple vintage necklace. Choose a fuller or pleated midi teamed with a simple silk blouse or a fitted cardigan set and a pair of pumps for a powerful look for the office. Take a sleek black midi out for the evening by dressing it up: monochromatic black top with simple silver hoops and pops of crimson on the lips, on a tiny clutch, and on a pair of stiletto heels.

By working from the ground up with your wardrobe you are going to look your best this fall. Figure out what pair of shoes you would like to wear, then let the rest flow from there!

With a critical eye to length and a flair for color and detail, the midi skirt is a pragmatic and versatile element for your fall wardrobe.

Here are some of my looks in my midi skirt:

After this, it looks like I need to go shopping for more skirts ;). I love this post from Anya and I am so thankful that she contacted me! She gives amazing fashion advice!!

Sneaker Wedge

Images via Google Images & Tumblr

I did it...I gave into the sneaker trend! I obviously would DIE if I could get my hands on an Isabel Marant pair, but that's out of my price range. I got some all black ones from Forever 21 today and they're super comfy. Maybe I'll step it up and get some multi colored ones like these pictured above. I'm actually really happy I got them and I plan on wearing them a lot when it's cold (still pretty warm here in LA!) and when I just want to throw on a sweater and some jeans :) Actually, these shoes are really convenient: a sneaker...and a wedge....perfect. hahah :D Hope this trend lasts a while! Look out for some outfit posts with them soon!

Irrational Obsession

Sweater: Forever 21, Sweats: Style Stalker via ShopBop, Heels: Zara, Clutch: Minusey

Ahhhhh the perfect lazy day pants! Thank you very much Style Stalker. These pants are perfect for cold, rainy days or just lazy days spent inside. They're ridiculously comfortable and chic at the same time with the leather details. It's easy to dress these up or down and they're so fun to play with. Also, these strappy heels from Zara... they're pretty awesome don't you think? Zara has been putting a serious dent in my bank account lately...

Back To Life

Hat: Forever 21, Sweater: Forever 21, Skirt: Foreign Exchange, Necklace: H&M, Wedges: Zara

It's been cloudy this week in LA and it's finally starting to feel like fall. The leaves are starting to change as well and it looks so beautiful. This is my favorite time of year. So many great things are coming up and I have a lot to look forward to in the next few months. Couldn't be more thankful.

Well more about my outfit...
These thick leggings are great with skirts for fall. Especially when it's not too cold out. Pair it with a chunky knit and you're ready to go. Also, I love the thick, dangling necklace trend. It makes any plain sweater or shirt look so much better. I plan on wearing this new skater skirt a lot with leggings/tights and a thick coat this fall. How would you style it?

It's Been Months

Sweater: Forever 21, Skirt: American Apparel, Heels: Zara, Watch: Michael Kors

I rarely wear this skirt but I think I need to start wearing it a lot more. It's comfy and lovely and flowy and I love it. I've been buying more skirts lately especially with different textures and shapes. They're just so much easier than pants haha. I'm getting so lazy. It's cloudy and nice out today!!!

Love you all

xoxo
