Met Gala 2013 Favorites

 Miranda Kerr in Michael Kors
When does she not look amazing? My jaw literally dropped when I saw this image of her. Can I download her body somewhere?

 Rooney Mara in Givenchy
One of my absolute favorite looks. Beautiful make up, beautiful hair, and gorgeous dress. Love her. This is what perfection looks like, everyone.

 Aubrey Plaza
In love with the snakeskin and the cape effect of this look. And omg, the shoes...THE SHOES!

 Amber Heard in Emilio Pucci
This color is so elegant. I love the timeless look of this dress. Beautiful.

 Allison Williams in Altuzarra
The lace detailing in this dress is stunning! I probably would have gone with an up do, but regardless, still great.

 Emilia Clarke in Ralph Lauren
The Mother of Dragons is literally on fire in this dress. (Game of Thrones pun, don't mind me...) She looks absolutely stunning, but honestly, with a face like that how can you not look stunning?

 Anne Hathaway in Valentino
First of all, love the blonde. It looks badass. Second of all, this dress is the sexiest thing ever. Get it girl...

Brooklyn Decker in Peter Pilotto dress & Sergio Rossi heels
The heels, the peplum skirt, the details, the makeup. She nailed it tonight and kept up with the theme. Love!

 Doutzen Kroes
HOT HOT HOT. Can't even handle it.

 Emma Watson in Prabal Gurung
Showing some skin and of course, keepin it classy. She's a grown ass woman now. Don't mess! Gorgeous, as always.

 Kate Bosworth in Balmain
She seriously looks like a doll. I love the mini dress with long sleeves. And the smokey eye is killing me. So great. *Swoon*

 Kristen Stewart in Stella McCartney
K Stew is seriously stepping up her game. I love her badass look tonight, Whoever her stylist is, well done. So hot.

 Nicole Richie in Topshop
I am in love with her gray/blue hair and I don't care what you say. And that lip color....fantastic.

 Nina Dobrev in Monique Lhuillier
Nina looks like a punk princess tonight. Such a lovely dress!

Solange Knowles in Kenzo
I had to add this look, so daring to go with blue tonight but she looks great!

The theme of this year's Met Gala was "Punk: Chaos to Couture," so obviously, there was plenty of blacks, whites and reds on the red carpet tonight. I picked out some of my favorite looks from the event and added a little commentary on the looks. I wish I could get this dressed up for something!

Shiny Things

Blouse & Heels: Zara, Shorts: H&M (old), Clutch: Chicwish, Watch: Michael Kors

Reminder: my style is pretty minimalistic. I love finding basic pieces with a twist. Naturally, I fell in love with this blouse and these heels by Zara. This blouse is quilted to give it texture and comes fully equipped with a perfect necklace. The heels and their thick ankle strap make a statement and can be worn with SERIOUSLY everything. Boom. I'm one happy girl!

The Skirt

Tank: T by Alexander Wang, Skirt: Zara, Heels: Zara (old), Clutch: ChicWish, Watch: Michael Kors, Bracelet: Luv AJ

Photos by Bethany Struble

If you're on the hunt for the perfect summer skirt you don't need to look any further! This skirt by Zara is perfect for hot summer days and it's also great for going out on summer nights. In this look I gave the skirt a more casual feel by pairing it with the gray tank but I could easily dress this skirt up with a silk blouse. The detailing is so beautiful I just had to buy it! I picked out a few things for you all to do some shopping in the widget above; hope you enjoy!

In other news, my family and I bought our tickets for Europe this summer! It will be the first time my entire family meets Marcus's entire family so as you can assume, I'm a little nervous/anxious. I can't wait to see my friends and Marcus's family again. In addition to Sweden, we're also going to Paris, Dublin, and London. So hopefully May will go by fast because I am SO done with school! I feel so lucky. :)

Dreaming of all of these amazing pieces today. Ahhhh if only money wasn't an issue. So in love...

In case you were wondering, the "Cold Coconut" clutch is by Samudra, the bra is by Sass & Bide, and the heels are Givenchy. I put together some stuff so you can shop this look, check it out! And don't hesitate to ask me any questions about where to get any of these pieces!

Jessica Hart for FOAM

Imgs  via Fashion Gone Rogue

I instantly fell in love with this editorial with Jessica Hart for Foam Magazine. How adorable is she? I'm also insanely jealous of her body. Legs for DAYS. Besides drooling over this Aussie babe, I'm also drooling over the pieces in this shoot. So perfect for summer and the colors are so fun. This is a huge inspiration for me for the scorching heat that's coming our way!

On the personal side, I am now done with volleyball season! I had such a great time coaching but I'm also relieved that it's over. Now I have some time on my hands and hopefully I can get back to a regular posting schedule. xo!
