Date on Melrose

Yesterday, Marcus and I drove down to Melrose for a little time away from home. We haven't been able to go anywhere for awhile now because of school and family things,  so we needed to get away for a little. We went to Urth Caffe, a place I've been wanting to try for a long time now. As seen in the first picture,  the food from there was amazing. And the coffee was great too. We will definitely be back there soon! It was cold and cloudy outside and I felt like dressing warm and comfortably. This jacket from Urban Outfitters fulfills my needs every winter. It's perfect for LA winters.

After our late lunch we walked around Melrose and shopped at Wasteland. I bought such a cute vintage romper and I wish it was just a little warmer out so I could wear it! Ugh. I'll post a picture of it soon for you all to see. 

This week it's my mother's and both of my brother's birthdays. Then Christmas is finally next week! I really can't wait. I still need to go look at Christmas lights and wrap all the presents :D

Christmas Party!

I got to take a few pictures last night at my family's annual Christmas party. Not as much I would have liked to take because I was running around talking to people and making sure things were going smoothly, as usual. This year at the party we had a gourmet food truck, a taco stand, a photo booth, snow in the front yard, and an open bar. Plus, Santa and Mrs. Claus came to visit! Kylie was pretty happy about meeting Santa for the first time :D So freakin adorable. 

And as you can see, Shadow gets so ridiculously happy when we get the snow in the front yard. He is so cute when he plays in the snow! He definitely doesn't see much of it living in LA, but I like to think he feels more at home. :)

I had a lot of fun last night, thanks to all my friends that came over to play!

Les Miserables

Have you all seen Anne Hathaway on the cover of Vogue this month? Now I've liked Anne since back in her Princess Diaries days, but now I have the biggest girl crush on her. I read the article in Vogue and I have so much respect for her and what she had to do for this role; she seems like she would be fun to hang out with ;). I'm really excited to see Les Miserables in theaters on Christmas Day. I'm reading the 1,400(?) page book as we speak and I just really hope I can finish it before the movie. I've always wanted to read the book and now that the film is coming out soon I have the motivation. Wish me luck, it's a long read but I really like it so far. I have always had this love for musicals and I have always secretly wished I could sing. I just really can't wait for this movie alright!? Here's some more images from Vogue for you :)

Sweet Little Things

Marcus & I went to the Mumford & Sons concert last night at the Hollywood Bowl. It was honestly so amazing I wish I could see them over and over again. They are even better live than on the radio or anything. If you ever get the chance to see them, GO. So so so amazing. It was so effing cold last night I think I have frostbite hahaha just kidding but really I need to bundle up more. The weather is slowly but surely getting colder here in LA! Which is making it feel more like autumn. 

Oh right, the pictures....before the concert we went to Bottega Louie. I've been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile and I am so happy I found it! I had to take pictures of all the incredible desserts they offer. OMG. Insane. I wanted to try everything on the menu, then again I didn't want to look like too much of a fatass. And besides the desserts, they have an adorable cafe inside and a restaurant with amazing food as well. Hopefully we'll start going there more. But it was kind of pricey. Regardless, the food and atmosphere was great and if you are ever in LA...go here!

Voluspa Candle: Anthropologie, Fresh make up: Sephora, Nail Polish: Sephora

New stuff from Sephora and Anthropologie! I'm on the hunt for a face cleanser that actually works with my skin and that I'm completely happy with. Finding that cleanser is a lot harder than I though so I've been basically living in Sephora. I go in for one thing and I come out with 5...typical. This mascara, lip stain, lip polish, and soy face cleanser from Fresh are so far making me pretty happy. 

If any of you are looking for little Christmas gifts there are really great gift sets at Sephora right now! I would get them before they're all out! Just an idea for any of you who are stuck :)

Elin Kling for Marciano Event

I MET ELIN KLING! If you've read my blog for awhile you should know that I have a girl crush on Elin. I love her style and she's a huge inspiration to me not only for her fashion sense but she's also a very hard worker and knows how to handle business. So I was definitely not going to miss the opportunity to meet her! She had an event for her Elin Kling for Marciano line that recently launched. Every item in the collection is perfect and exactly my style. But everything is also a little out of my price range. And when I say "a little" I mean there's no way in hell. But, her line was amazing and it goes without saying it was a good day :).

His & Hers

Christmas came early this year! Marcus & I got our new phones today. Both of our 4's were broken and awww how cute, we both wanted white iPhone 5s! Love it. So last post I apologized for the lack of outfit posts in the past few days because I've been so busy and Marcus has been so busy and we haven't been able to take pictures. But construction is basically done now and things are calming down so I'm expecting to share more with you this weekend! Don't worry ;)
